Funeral services for Phillip Sink, age 55, of Corning, who died Saturday, August 18, 2012, at his home in Corning, will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Roland-Ritchie Funeral Home in Corning. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 7 with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7. Interment will held in the Oakland Cemetery at Quincy. INSTEAD OF FLOWERS, the family requests memorials be given in Phil's name. Memories can be shared with the family at www.ritchiefuneralhome.com. Arrangements were entrusted to Roland-Ritchie Funeral Home of Corning.

Phillip LaVerne Sink was born February 28, 1957, in Corning, Iowa the son of Millard Sink and Phyllis (Westlake) Sink. He graduated from Corning High School with the Class of 1975. Phil trucked with his parents and later worked at Precision Pulley in Corning. Phil and Paula Haering married in 1986, and later divorced. They were blessed with three daughters, Philicia, Shonda and Jayme.

Phil loved the Iowa Hawkeye's, going to the races and attending sporting events. He was especially proud of his three daughters and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be remembered for his great cooking, sense of humor, and outgoing personality. He was a wonderful father and will be missed.

Phil is survived by his three daughters, Philicia Hancock and husband Nathan of Lenox; Shonda McCuen and husband Brant of Corning; and Jayme Sink of Council Bluffs; his parents, Phyllis and Millard Sink of Corning; brothers, Gary Sink and wife Kathy of St. Mary's; Dave Sink and wife Joanie of Stanton; and Rob Sink and wife Timmie of Corning; two sisters, Patsy Long of Corning; and Katherine Gaunt and husband Larry of Villisca; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends.

Phil is preceded in death by his grandparents Nellie and Henry Sink and Lawrence and Grace Westlake.

Phil was a devoted father and friend.
His enthusiasm, humor, insight and kindness will be missed.
